Psychological Therapy: $190 per 50 minute session

Private clients and GP referred clients:

GP referred clients with a Mental Health Care Plan are eligible for up to 10 subsidised sessions through Medicare, with the current rebate at $96.65.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP):

For a client accessing an EAP, the cost to the employee is $0 as it is the employer who pays for the cost of the therapy for their employee. EAP fees will be agreed between the employer and Direct Psychology on a case-by-case basis depending on the employer’s needs.

Private health insurance:

We provide psychological services that may be partially reimbursed through your private health insurance, depending on your policy. The amount of the rebate is based on your level of coverage. We collaborate with all major private health funds and can process your rebate immediately following your appointment.

NDIS:

We are pleased to provide NDIS-supported psychological services for individuals with disabilities affecting their emotional and mental health. We are committed to making high-quality psychological care accessible to all, regardless of their situation. If you are covered by NDIS, there is typically no out-of-pocket expense, as fees are covered by NDIS funding. A fee schedule will be discussed at the start of support provision in line with current NDIS price guide for registered psychologists.

Psychological Assessments

The fee for a psychological assessment in Australia can vary, depending on the type and scope of assessment, delivery and time taken to complete an assessment, the range of information sources that may need to be obtained, and reporting and feedback requirements. Therefore, the fee schedule for any assessment will be discussed at the point of referral.

Direct Psychology allows for assessment fees to be charged per session to spread the associated costs. Final assessment reports will not be provided to clients or referrers prior to payment of the total fee.

At Direct Psychology, we know that therapy can be expensive and a barrier to seeking treatment. As such, we aim to keep our fees competitive compared to other services. Furthermore, Direct Psychology clinicians also provide therapeutic services through other mental health organisations that bulk bill or are government funded with no fee to the client.
